MacKenzie The Pirate Hunter
"Zoro"
Zoro is our young stallion prospect registered with the American Shire Horse Association (ASHA: 23895-S). He is currently 16.3h at 2 years old. We expect him to mature around 17.2H. He is negative for 15 diseases through parentage, and tested negative for MYHM (IMM). He is homozygous dominant extension (black) through parentage and carries one copy of W20.
Lineage: Zoro is backed by a pedigree of proven champions. His dam, Tally Ho BK Simone, is a daughter of the influential National Champion stallion Deighton Black Knight. His sire, Black Walnut Prince William, was the 2015 All-American Reserve Grand Champion Stallion. This legacy of success continues with Zoro’s siblings; his half-brother, Tally Ho BK King Francis, is a multi-time Grand Champion, and his full sister, Mackenzie Georgia, was recently named the National Champion 3-Year-Old Mare.
Temperament: So far he has proven to be goofy and easy to train. He has a great lofty high knee action trot and is very athletic. He has the perfect combination of athleticism, confidence, and level headedness. His offspring will be exceptional sport horse crosses that should excel in any discipline, particularly dressage, eventing, foxhunting, jumping, and ranch work. Though early in his show career, Zoro is already proving his merit in the show ring. He has consistently brought home multiple first-place ribbons in halter classes. His early success reflects the strength of his quality and pedigree, and points toward a promising future as both a performer and a sire.
Health Disclosure: We are committed to honesty and integrity in our breeding program. Zoro is a high-quality prospect who has remained clinically sound throughout his development and is excelling in training. He comes from a lineage with no known history of health or soundness issues. As part of our commitment to disclosure, we do note that he underwent a successful surgical removal of two hock OCD lesions as a yearling with no recurrence or further issues. Complete medical records and radiographs are on file and available for review by serious inquiries.
