Every session begins with a mandatory safety briefing to ensure a smooth and confident ride for everyone.

During your ride, you’ll learn practical skills such as how to safely mount and dismount, how to steer and stop your horse, gait control and backing, how to maintain balance and posture on varying terrain, and how to build trust and communication with your horse along the way. We also teach trail awareness; how to read your horse’s body language, ride respectfully in a group, and handle real world obstacles like logs, tight turns, and changes in terrain. These foundational skills help make the ride smoother, safer, and more enjoyable for both horse and rider.

Safety & Attire Standards Your safety and comfort are our primary focus. To prepare for your excursion, please observe the following guidelines: • Certified Headwear: All riders, regardless of age, are required to wear an ASTM/SEI-certified equestrian helmet. Because horse riding involves specific safety needs, helmets designed for other sports (such as cycling, skating, or climbing) are not permitted. You are welcome to use one of our helmets at no cost, or bring your own equestrian-specific helmet for a brief safety inspection by our team. • Recommended Footwear: While not mandatory, we strongly recommend a sturdy boot with a heel. This provides the best stability and positioning within the stirrup. • Trail Apparel: We suggest wearing long pants or jeans to protect against the saddle and natural trail elements.
